THE VISIT FROM MINISTER OF HEALTH

Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited has been visited by the Minister of Health Hon. Jenista Mhagama accompanied by various leaders from the Institutes under the Ministry of Health as well as some leaders of the Coast region.

Speaking immediately after visiting the factory and seeing how production that uses Modern Technology is done, Minister Mhagama said that the government is proud of the investment made by Private Institutions including Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited because the production reduces the cost of transportation as well as reducing the waiting time for drugs from abroad.

Minister Mhangama added that Kairuki is encouraging the Government to invest in Local sectors as it helps to reduce the use of foreign currencies where she has promised that the government under her ministry will solve the challenges facing the Private sectors because they are the biggest stakeholders of Development in the country.

She added that, Now is the time for Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited to collaborate with the government to find markets abroad where she also advised the Medical Store Department  (MSD) which has the responsibility of distributing Medicines within SADC to Distribute  indigenous Medicines including those produced by Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited.

For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of the factory, Dr. Muganyizi Kairuki thanked the government for continuing to give priority to the Private Sectors and asked them to solve the various challenges facing the sector that lead to a decline in production.
