THE COOPERATION OF KAIRUKI HOSPITAL AND CUBAN GOVERNMENT

Kairuki Hospital has received a special visit from Tanzanian Ambassador in Cuba Hon. Humprey Polepole, Cuban Ambassador in Tanzania Hon Dr. Yordenis Despaigne Vera, Representatives from the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) and the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Company (BioCubaFarma) in Cuba.

The visit has highlighted on how to improve the cooperation between Kairuki Health and Education Network (KHEN) and the Cuban government especially in the healthy Sector.

Also, they discussed on the special program of the Tanzanian Ambassador in Cuba Hon. Humphery Polepole which insisted people to register at Kairuki Hospital due people to the availability of medicines that are not available at all or are difficult to find in Tanzania which involve the treatment of vitiligo, Rheumatism, diabetic foot Ulcers, fire Burns.

Furthermore, the visit has shed light on the availability of medicines and the effort done to reduce the cost whereby the Hon. Polepole emphasized that the process is at a good stage and he will make sure that the medicines are transported to Tanzania and the registered are being treated.

In addition, a representative from the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries (BioCubaFarma) in Cuba, Dr. Jesús Zamora Sánchez, who is the head of Hepatitis B vaccine production, congratulated Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited in the use of modern technology in production of promises to keep on cooperating with them.

Speaking to the guest, the director general of Kairuki Hospital Dr. Asser Mchomvu said Kairuki Hospital is ready to coordinate the program of Hon. Polepole  and provide opportunities for other programs that will aim to help Tanzanians especially in the health sector.
