Kairuki Hospital in collaboration with Aenon Health Care, is conducting
training for various specialists and dermatologists in Tanzania, regarding
various skin diseases including Vitiligo.
The training, is led by the senior Dermatology specialist from Cuba
Professor Ernesto Miyares Diaz, as part of efforts to improve skin health
services in the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Cuban Ambassador to Tanzania, Hon.
Yordenis Vera who is the guest of honor, commended Kairuki Hospital for
organizing this important training for professionals, as well as the joint
efforts from the Tanzanian embassy in Cuba to facilitate the importation of Vitiligo
medicine from Cuba.
Also Ambassador Vera explained that the good Cooperation between Ambassador
Humphrey Polepole and Kairuki Hospital is the source of these Medication being
known by many people inside and outside Tanzania and he is ensuring that they
arrive in Tanzania for the use.
In addition, the Director General of Kairuki Hospital, Dr. Asser Mchomvu,
said that the Vitiligo Medicine that arrived in the country in the first phase
have begun to be used by more than 147 patients, and those received services are
now started to show good progress, although the treatment is still ongoing.
He said that these medicine have been a great help to people in need and announced that other medicine will arrive soon.
