Kairuki polyclinic yaanza kazi rasmi Mbezi. The official inauguration of Kairuki Green IVF took place on 06th February 2023 on the commemoration of KHEN's founder, the Late Prof. Hubert C.M. Kairuki.
The launch was officiated by H.E Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council and graced by the Minister of Health Ummy Mwalimu. "Opening of the Kairuki Green IVF alleviate the need for Tanzanians to travel outside the country for the treatment. The government will see how it could support Kairuki Green IVF efforts to help Tanzanians." said Dr Mwinyi.
The Minister of Health Ummy Mwalimu said that at the time, Tanzania did not have an IVF policy in place and promised it would be up and running in a month. Dr Clementina Kairuki, Our IVF specialist said that the failure to bear children is a social stigma that causes mental Health Issues. Women are the most likely victims of the stigma though men also contribute to infertility by about 50%. As part of efforts to reduce infertility issues, Kairuki Hospital launched Kairuki Green IVF.
