Our Story

Kairuki Hospital (KH) – formerly known as Mission Mikocheni Hospital (MMH) - is one of the leading private hospitals in Tanzania. The hospital is owned by Kairuki Health and Education Network (KHEN), a Tanzanian Non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a social agenda. Co-founded by the late Prof. Hubert Kairuki and his wife Mrs. Kokushubila Kairuki, KH opened its doors to the public in march 1987 when it started offeringg a variety of health services to the community. KH also serves as the teaching Hospital for Hubert Kairuki Memorial University (HKMU) and Kairuki School of Nursing (KSN), both of which are incorporated in KHEN.


Medical Services Kairuki Hospital offers referral medical services round the clock (24/7) in addition to normal healthcare and screening services for both in and out patients.
